Privacy Policy

Last updated June 26, 2026

Reach Desktop lets you view and control your own Mac from your own iPhone or iPad. It is built to be private by design: your screen, your input, and your data stay between your own devices.

What we collect

Nothing. Reach Desktop has no account, no sign-up, and no analytics or tracking. We do not collect your name, email, location, contacts, usage data, or any personal information, and we have no servers that receive it.

Your screen and audio

The video of your Mac's screen (and its audio, when you turn Sound on) streams directly between your own Mac and your own phone over a peer-to-peer connection. On your home Wi-Fi it never leaves your local network. When you use the optional "Anywhere" mode, the encrypted media is relayed through infrastructure you control (your own relay server or your private Tailscale network); that relay passes the stream through and does not store or inspect it.

Permissions the app uses

All of these are used solely to provide the app's function, on your own devices. Nothing is uploaded to us.

Third parties

We do not sell, rent, or share any data, because we do not collect any. The app uses the open-source LiveKit/WebRTC media engine to carry the stream between your devices; it does not send your data to LiveKit or to us.

Payments

If you purchase Pro, the transaction is handled by Apple through the App Store. We never see your payment details.

Children

Reach Desktop is not directed to children and collects no data from anyone.
